Overview

The Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) was established on 4th November 1998 as a result of multi-folded efforts by various stakeholders of the Private Sector. The TPSF was established as a company limited by guarantee to promote private sector-led social and economic development in Tanzania by:

  1. providing member organizations with services they value;
  2. understanding and representing their common interest; and
  3. engaging in effective advocacy with the Government.

Since its founding, TPSF has served as a focal point for private sector advocacy, lobbying and dialogue on behalf of the private sector.

WHAT IS OUR CORE ACTIVITY?

The Foundation’s core activity is Policy – Advocacy and Lobbying which seeks to raise issues, participate in and influence Government policy formulation and implementation in favour of the private sector. Read more

WHO CAN JOIN TPSF?

The Articles of Association provide for ordinary, corporate and associate membership. Ordinary membership is open to business associations, corporate membership to Cap 212 companies and associate membership to Government agencies providing specialized services to businesses Read more.

 

 

WHAT OTHER SERVICE DO WE OFFER TO OUR MEMBERS?

Networking

To build a data base of all the members and their activities. Networking enables the Foundation to play the role of an information exchange intermediary and other networking activities for its members; More

Strategic Planning Capacity Development

To build the member associations capacity to prepare standard strategic development plans that are comparable across the TPSF membership and therefore easily coordinated and synchronized; More

 

Consultancy Development

to develop the consulting profession in the private sector to be able to provide business support services of international standard; More
