What Other Service We Offer to Our Members

TPSF has developed the Member Services programme which aim to assist TPSF members to build their institutional capacities and enhance their ability to provide technical support to their ultimate members. It has four key components:

  • Networking - to build a data base of all the members and their activities. Networking enables the Foundation to play the role of an information exchange intermediary and other networking activities for its members;
  • Strategic Planning Capacity Development - to build the member associations’ capacity to prepare standard strategic development plans that are comparable across the TPSF membership and therefore easily coordinated and synchronized;
  • Consultancy Development - to develop the consulting profession in the private sector to be able to provide business support services of international standard; and
  • Consortium Building - to bring together small scale enterprises to share synergy and take advantage of  the economies of scale etc.

As part of its mandate TPSF has also developed the Outreach and Membership Development programme which aims to reach out and support members with a range of standardized and customized private sector development services. It has the following major components:

  • Membership drive and strategic partner development - to expand the membership base geographically and across economic sectors through promotional visits, sensitization meetings and workshops, direct firm level contact and use of the media;
  • Training – to enhance the organizational capacity of TPSF members through training of their boards and management teams in corporate governance and related areas; and
    • Development of a data bank – to collect, analyse, standardize and store data on membership, members’ business activities, markets, etc. for use by member organizations, local, regional and international partners, researchers and other interested parties.

WHAT IS OUR CORE ACTIVITY?

The Foundation’s core activity is Policy – Advocacy and Lobbying which seeks to raise issues, participate in and influence Government policy formulation and implementation in favour of the private sector. Read more

WHO CAN JOIN TPSF?
